Gary started his diving life with a Christmas present from his wife for scuba lessons (which she has regretted ever since) and was initially certified in February 2005. Since then he has risen through the ranks and specialties and is now currently working on his IDC Staff Instructor and Master Instructor ratings under Roberts’s tutelage. Gary and Robert began diving together during their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver class. They work together extensively often co-teaching and just diving together for fun.
Diving to Gary is more than a hobby; it’s a passion for the underwater world and the beauty it holds. He has tremendous passion for teaching and translates that into giving his students the best and safest manner of scuba diving training and experience.
Gary currently holds Instructor ratings in many specialties, from open water thru divemaster, to include a wide variety of distinctive specialties and is currently pursuing his instructor ratings in Recreational Sidemount diving. Gary is also certified thru TDI and IANTD in decompression procedures, advanced nitrox, and technical diving to 180 feet. Additionally, Gary teaches Emergency First Response programs as well as being a DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider Instructor (DEMP).
Gary also holds certifications as a public safety diver – rapid deployment search and recovery diver, with full face mask specialty and swift water technician certification.
